Hearts are brimming with love and gratitude as the Hierarchy has permitted us to celebrate the 60th birthday of our beloved Kamlesh Bhai on the 27th 28th and 29th of September 2015 at the Diamond Jubilee Park, Tiruppur.

It is indeed a great opportunity for all of us to become humble receptacles at the feet of the Master. May we all assemble at D.J. Park in great numbers and with joy on this auspicious occasion and gladden the hearts of our Great Masters.

Celebration Dates

27th to 29th of September 2015. The celebration concludes on the 29th of September after the morning satsangh.

Registration

All abhyasis are encouraged to register for the celebrations at the earliest, preferably before coming to the venue. Considering the time constraint, early and confirmed registrations will enable proper planning and preparation for the infrastructure required for the celebrations.

Abhyasis in India

Abhyasis in India can register for the celebration using one of the following two methods.

Abhyasis outside India

Travel Advisory

Health Safety

With a measure to avoid serious health risks, it is advised that the following do not register for the celebrations:

  • Abhyasis over seventy years of age can attend only if he or she is accompanied by a caretaker from the same centre.
  • Children below seventeen years of age.
  • Abhyasis with health problems who have been advised not to travel by their doctors.
  • Parents with children below two years of age.
  • Parents with children who are mentally challenged.
  • Abhyasis or children, irrespective of age, who require constant medical care with support from guardians or attendants.

Accomodation

Venue

General accommodation in tents will be available for all abhyasis at the venue.

Hotel

A list of hotels in Tiruppur is attached. Abhyasis are requested to book their hotels directly.

Comfort Dorms

Limited independent dormitory accommodation will also be available near the venue for which a separate communication will be issued soon.

Weather

The weather in Tiruppur during the period of the celebrations is likely to be pleasant and slightly breezy.

Travel

Air

Coimbatore is the airport closest to the venue. Prepaid taxis will also be available at the airport for hire. SRCM volunteers will be present at the airport from 24 September 2015 onwards. If anybody needs a pick-up before this date, please inform us by email: 28sep15.transport@srcm.org.

Rail

The venue is about sixteen kilometres from Tiruppur railway station. Tiruppur railway station is located between Erode and Coimbatore junctions.

Abhyasis outside India may kindly note that train tickets within India can be booked online at https://www.irctc.co.in. Payment can be made online with international credit cards as well.

Volunteers will be present at the Tiruppur railway station from Saturday, 19 September 2015 onwards.

Buses will be arranged for large groups of abyasis from Thursday, 24 September 2015. All centres are requested to inform the arrival and departure dates and the number of persons travelling by email to 28sep15.transport@srcm.org for planning and arrangement.

Other Services

Abhyasis travelling by bus or any other public transport should reach Revathy Rice Mills bus stop on Dharapuram road. Shuttle services between Revathy Rice Mills bus stop and the venue will be available. The bus route numbers are 15 and 34. For commuting locally, taxis will be available at the venue for hire either on a full-day basis or on trip basis. Group transport requests for abhyasis travelling in batches of fifteen or more may be sent through email to 28sep15.transport@srcm.org. The transport team will provide information, support and guidance if feasible.

Volunteers

We require a significant number of volunteers to be present at the venue from now onwards. Some volunteers would be required to stay about ten days after the Celebrations for winding up operations, hence volunteers are requested to plan accordingly. Volunteers arriving at the venue may report to the volunteer desk or the ashram office.

Volunteers from previous celebrations are encouraged to volunteer their services and also encourage other willing abhyasis to participate in volunteer work.

Centers are requested to encourage abhyasis to participate in voluntary work. The list of volunteers with name of the centre, number of abhyasis (brothers and sisters separately), area of volunteer work, and approximate date of arrival and departure may be sent by email to 28sep15.helpdesk@srcm.org as this will enable the organizers to plan accordingly.

Transportation from the Railway station for Volunteers

Volunteers arriving by train are requested to intimate their arrival details through email to 28sep15.transport@srcm.org and call +91 98430 15642 before arrival to get details on how to reach D.J. Park.

Kindly note that there will be no bus or van facility available before Thursday, 24 September 2015, however, abhyasis will be guided to reach the venue.

Reaching the venue on your own

From the railway station take a bus from Town Hall bus stop, just outside the railway station, to go to old bus stand. Most of the buses go towards the old bus stand from the Town Hall bus stop. Please enquire and confirm before boarding the bus.

From the old bus stand, bus numbers 15 and 34 will drop you near D.J. Park (The bus stop is also called “Revathy Rice Mill” stop and it is on the Tiruppur–Dharapuram Main Road, State Highway 174.)

Kindly note that there are two bus stands in Tiruppur – the old and the new. The above buses are available from the old bus stand only.

After getting down at D.J. Park bus stop, the campus can be reached using the side road by following directions and it is at a walking distance. Shuttle services may also be available from Friday, 24 September 2015 from Revathy Rice Mill bus stop to the venue.

Autos or taxis can also be hired from the railway station from their respective stands within the premises. The approximate charges from the railway station to D.J. Park will be Rs 250 for an auto and Rs 300 for a taxi. While taking an auto, please do not over load it. There have been a few accidents in the past, so abhyasis are advised to take care.
