European Tour, Part 1

Wednesday, 6th of May 2015, Milano, Italy

Build a true spiritual family

Kamlesh bhai flew from Delhi and reached Milano at 10 a.m. He was greeted by the local abhyasis, and then on the way to the hotel his work started. He suggested that everyone in Europe be informed to connect daily during three satsangs, at 7.30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., so that everyone could be benefited, irrespective of their physical presence.

At the hotel, he addressed a group of abhyasis, recognising how strong the sense of family and community is in Italy. He said that this could be further developed with the conscious transmission of love in every act of relationship. Transmission is something that already occurs unconsciously, and being more conscious about it would bring about even greater results. Just as we give love to our family, we can extend this to all with whom we interact and know by conveying love through our thoughts and actions, hence building a true spiritual family. We should become like a community, looking after and caring for one another. As the day came to a close, all the abhyasis had dinner with Kamlesh bhai as he encouraged togetherness in every activity.

Welcome All

The morning began with the inauguration of the new meditation centre by Kamlesh bhai, followed by satsang at 7.30 a.m. It was a joyous occasion, with the air full of excitement for all the new possibilities awaiting the growth of the centre.

He began his talk by congratulating the abhyasis and hoped that this centre would be utilised not only on Sundays but every day. He proposed a welcome desk, where everyone can walk in and know about the meditation. He said, “It is our duty to reach out to everyone to have an experience, once in a life time, of such a wonderful and simple system. Whether they continue or not is their destiny.”

He elaborated on unity and love in the family from the previous day’s talk by saying, “Only when our families are united and live together, with the love that our Sahaj Marg talks about, will these vibrations emanating from each family spread over to our communities and nations at large. We should become a family of Sahaj Marg looking after each other, not like some cult.”

He emphasised that the mother is the focal point in the family, and quoted Babuji Maharaj that only the mother’s love is known to one and all. Very few have experienced the love of the guru, and rare are the ones who have experienced the love of God.

He asked abhyasis to cultivate a habit of appreciating everything. This will bring about unity, and will prepare our destiny going forward in this life, as well as for what awaits us in the Brighter World.

Kamlesh bhai shared his observation that, as adults, we are used to saying no more than saying yes. By saying no we protect ourselves, while saying yes we submit ourselves to another person's suggestion, but our ego rebels against this. He said that it takes a lot of effort to transform ourselves from saying no to yes, and typically it takes longer as we age.

Kamlesh bhai underlined that our real Master is in our heart, and we should become the disciple of this heart within us. When we follow this Master within our heart, then our thoughts and feelings converge.

After the 11 a.m. satsang, the abhyasis of Milano arranged for everyone to have lunch together at a Sri Lankan restaurant. There he said goodbye to all and continued North towards the small town of Aosta. This drive was very scenic through the Alps. The growth in the Aosta centre has been promising, and he was very happy to see this. Even though it was a short stop for satsang, the joy and excitement among the abhyasis was very evident.

His journey continued and he reached his next stop, Lausanne, Switzerland at 10.30 p.m.
