30th April 2015 Celebrations - Childrens Center

For the preparation of the activities for the Children and Youth Centre during the April 30th bhandara, we seek your help and cooperation for the activities listed below. The suggested theme for the CYC activities in bhandara is ‘Simplicity’.

Pre-Registration
To reduce the time taken during registration at the bhandara, we request you to send us the list of children attending from your centre at the earliest to 30apr15.children@srcm.org with the subject: ‘April 30, 2015 – Children Pre-registration’.
• Name
• Age
• Gender
• Name of parent or guardian accompanying the child to the bhandara
• Parent’s or guardian’s cell phone
• Centre

Invitation for conducting activities

We encourage abhyasis/CYC coordinators from all centers to send in their ideas for activities for the following age groups --> 3-6 years, 7-12 years and 13-17 years. Please send the activity details in the following format:

  • Name of Activity
  • Detail Steps
  • Things used for activity
  • Time taken for the activity
  • Ideal group size
  • Moral/connection to the theme

Please email all activities to this email id: 30apr15.children@srcm.org. These activities could be used during April 30th bhandara or in the future.

Children Centre Decoration

• Heart shaped cutouts [in pink, red and purple colors] - Large - not more than 2 feet in diameter - Make 1 heart shaped cut out for your centre, ashram or retreat centre. Please tie a string to the top and tie a small card to the bottom mentioning the name of the centre, ashram or retreat centre.
• Heart shaped cutouts – Small – not more than 6 inches in diameter - Make as many heart shaped cut out for each child in your centre, ashram or retreat centre. Please tie a string to the top.

Children Centre Coordinators’ Meeting
 • We invite all volunteers and those who are interested in volunteering at the CYC during the bhandara, to attend an orientation / training meeting on April 28, 2 pm.
• We request all ZIC and CIC to inform their children centre coordinators to attend a meeting on April 30th, 7pm to discuss and share ideas for activities for the children and youth, and the future direction. Please check at CYC at bhandara for exact timings.

Diaries

Children and youth of the age group 7-17 years are requested to bring their diaries when coming to the bhandara and each night record their experiences of the day.
