30th April 2014 Celebrations - Children's Center

As part of the Babuji Maharaj's Birth Anniversary celebrations at Tiruppur from 29th April to 1st May 2014, members of the Children's center committee are in the process of planning various activities at the children's centre.

The children's centre plans to facilitate activities primarily for three age groups.

• Group 1: age 3 - 6 (should be accompanied with parent)
• Group 2: age 6 - 12
• Group 3: age 12 - 17 (Youth group)

At this time we would like to receive ideas from interested abhyasis, for activities / projects towards the above age groups. It can be from any category- art / craft , story-telling activity, puppetry, etc. keeping in mind that activity should be able to support a large group of children (more than 1000). The basic idea is to encourage participation and promote their creative spirits.

Please send in your ideas to the children’s center at 30apr14.children<at>srcm.org by 1st April as per the guidelines mentioned below. This would greatly enable the children center to effectively organize their activities.

GUIDELINES: The guidelines for sending in activity/project sheet are as mentioned below-

• Name of the activity
• Targeted Age Group
• Materials required
• Type of activity: Large group activity involving all the children of a particular age group (like puppetry, story-telling, etc.) or activity to be carried out in smaller groups with volunteers in each group (drawing, crafts, etc.)
• Direction and Methodology
• Duration of the activity

We also look forward to volunteer support in the execution of the various activities at the children’s centre.
